NOAA Admin Says 50% Of Oil Already Out Of Ecosystem
NOAA Administrator Jane Lubchenco tells a White House Press Conference Wednesday that at least half of the oil leaked during the BP-Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill has already been removed from the ocean and from beaches and marshes, and that the rest is “degrading rapidly.” Teams remain in the Gulf, working aggressively to assess the current state of oil, where and what it has been in the Gulf, and how and how fast it is degrading.
