Mother Of Sick Child Remembers Not Being Able To Afford Treatment

Speaking to an audience gathered inside the East Room of the White House on Tuesday, Ohio resident Amy Wilhite, whose daughter's life was threatened when her family could not afford to pay all of her medical bills due to reaching their insurance limit, chokes up while recalling her situation. Wilhite made brief remarks before President Barack Obama took the podium to discuss new patient protections that will begin this year under the Affordable Care Act.
