New Airline Standards A Shift From A 'Stupid' Idea, Says Homeland Security Expert

The new airline security standards announced Friday signal a shift from a "stupid" idea, according to Dr. James Carafano, a homeland security expert at the Heritage Foundation.

According to Carafano, the plan put in place by the Obama administration after an attempted bombing aboard a commercial air flight in December to monitor only 14 countries with additional scrutiny was a poor idea and a waste of resources. (0:25)
