New Jobs Bill Tax Break Will Benefit Small Business Up To 6.2 Percent, Says Schumer

Senate Rules and Administration Chairman Charles Schumer (D-N.Y.) says the Hiring Incentives to Restore Employment (HIRE) Act will benefit small businesses by giving them a 6.2 percent tax break when they hire an employee who has been out of work for 60 days. This will also benefit employers because they will not have to pay the employers share of the Social Security tax for each new employee for the duration of 2010. (0:28)
