U.S. Should Use Haiti Crisis As A Chance To Engage Cuba
Steve Clemons with the New America Foundation says contrary to folks in the U.S. who believe that establishing a relationship with Cuba would undermine the work of human rights activists as well as others who support isolationism, the U.S. should view the catastrophe in Haiti as an opportunity to work with and engage Cuba. The process of changing the policy towards Cuba is still stymied by the power/influence of Cuban exiles and there ties/influence with both Florida politics and national. CIA, Bush 1 and Bush 2 jeb.....
Note the process in regard to the Cuban airline bombing/terrorist attack...by any standard this was an act of terrorism but covered up by the US....
The policy towards Cuba is disgusting, shortsighted, riddled with politics that have nothing to do with what is the reasoned best approach.
REPLAY TO JONAS COMMENT;
The only disgusting thing is the Castro regime for over fifty years against his own people, hello! wake up jonas! this totalitarian regime is cruel and evil and the country if full of political prisoners. The cuban people know only one lider in the last 50 years, Fidel and Raul Castro, Nepotism.
