Lieberman Requests $42.9 Billion For Homeland Security 

Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.) requests $42.9 billion to be allocated to the Department of Homeland Security. Lieberman highlights that the focal point of this new bill is first responders (firefighters, medical personnel) since they have proved to be an essential part of homeland security in the past.
