This entire forclosure mess could have been avoided if banks or holders of the debt were forced to adjust and modify payments to suit the needs of the homeowner. I think this will now be law in CA, not really sure. The debt holders should then be able to get tax credits for helping the homeowners. Insane CEO pay must also stop ! The top brass must not be allowed to have millions in pay while workers in banks get 8.00 an hour and have to use social programs to survive !
