White House Official Says Obama's Pursuit Of Gay Rights Will Take Time

John Berry, the Director of the U.S. Office of Personnel Management, said that enacting legislation against hate crimes and discrimination, as well as repealing the Defense of Marriage Act and Don't Ask, Don't Tell, will take time. And what is the Administration doing to build support, because it is patently clear that the President is doing almost nothing. The extension of very minimal benefits to same sex partners of federal employees is a pathetically lame effort by the White House. What is the Administration’s plans and time line to assure equality for all LGBT individuals?
