Vivian Schiller, NPR CEO: NPR will fill the void left by local newspapers

At a luncheon at the National Press Club on March 2, 2009, Schiller explains that local investigative journalism is what holds local public officials accountable for their actions. This was done best by local newspapers, and since these local publications are being set back due to the economy, NPR should fill this investigative void. (00:30)
