Obama Could Generate $40 Billion By Cutting Non-Vital Defense Programs

Center for American Progress Senior Fellow Lawrence Korb says that a report he co-authored could help the Obama administration generate roughly $40 billion to help offset the cost of sending an additional 30,000 troops to Afghanistan. Korb says the administration should consider cutting baseline defense projects which he says aren't vital to maintaining the nation's high level of national security. (:29)
