Gates Says He Wouldn't Be Surprised If U.S. Troops Remain In Iraq Past 2011

U.S. Secretary of Defense Robert Gates says he won't be surprised if U.S. troops remain in Iraq past the 2011 benchmark, saying Iraqi soldiers will need to be operationally and strategically prepared before foreign troops can leave Iraq. Gates says troop presence in both Iraq and Afghanistan is "very likely to continue beyond the end of our combat operations." (0:37)
