Napolitano Lists New Shared Security Initiatives Between U.S., Canada

U.S. Department of Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano says that she and Public Safety Canada Minister Peter Van Loan "outlined a set of shared goals to help us further our common security and economic objectives." The initiatives include "developing a better understanding of the threats we face, improving information sharing, expanding joint law enforcement operations, discussing how we manage risk while we simultaneously facilitate trade and travel, and how we improve coordination during emergencies."
