New Democrat Network President Opposes Putting Citizenship Inquiry In 2010 Census

President and Founder of New Democrat Network Simon Rosenberg responded Tuesday to an amendment proposed by Sen. David Vitter (R-La.) that would put a question regarding citizenship on the U.S. census.

“It will undoubtably disrupt the orderly execution of the count itself. it will also politicize the census, causing some to sit out, making it less accurate.” (0:10)

As a staunch 3rd Party Independent--not adumbrated by either the dems or the repubs--I take extreme exception to you & whoever else interprets the thrust of the 14th amendment to include illegal individuals & not just at that time (immediate post-Civil War) accomodation for the recently emancipated African-(American) slaves.
The main writer of the amendment clearly intended the 14th to last the reproductive lifetime of the last freed slave (& not to be kept active in perpetuity, creating countless millions of voting individuals by providing amnesty, thus fallaciously altering their illegal status to legal. But, oh yes, both dems & repubs have been vying for those votes ever since... The apportionment plans which include illegal aliens are 100% opposed by the majority of Legal American citizens. However, you-all will probably have your way... Good luck in the race toward amnesty, "stacking the voting deck" and the complete awakening of the sleeping giants of conservatives, centrists, independents, disenchanted libs, etc. We'll see what happens at the polls in 2010 & 2012!
