80 Percent Of The Guns Confiscated In Mexico Are From U.S., Claims Arizona Democrat
Rep. Raul Grijalva (D-Ariz.) says 80 percent of the guns confiscated in Mexico are originally from the U.S. He says Second Amendment "implications" have halted any federal interventions to stop the gun running. (0:19)

The percentage has gone down. It used to be 90 percent, and that number was incorrect from the ATF as well. 80 percent of the firearms that the Mexican governement allows the U. S. to check maybe closer to the truth (less than 8,000 guns). However, AK-47's generally aren't serialized they are sold as box lots. And most of the others that they don't submit, 10,000 plus guns, don't have indentifing numbers because they are removed. I think the State Department actually tracked some of the guns back to themselves, ones they allowed to be sold to the Mexican police and troops who turned around and sold them to the cartels out the back door for profit. So ask them how they let the cartels get them.
