Where are the bees?

Dr. Edward Knipling from the Department of Agriculture said that numerous factors have been suggested as possible factors to this problem. According to Knipling, these include “increased pressures from viruses and other pathogens, parasites, environmental stresses, poor nutrition, transport stresses and pesticides.” (0:16)

Has anyone looked at a possible connection to UV light? UV is used by many species for navigation, etc and is increasingly being used by humans for food/juice purification, water treatment, lighting, security applications, who knows what else...or maybe our bees are yet another casualty of our disintegrating atmosphere ('global warming').
