Corporate media drops the ball, but comedians step in

Lizz Winstead, a founding member of Air America Radio and co-creator and former head writer of Comedy Central's The Daily Show, talks about the role of comedy in media reform with Talk Radio News Correspondent Elia Herman at the National Conference for Media Reform in Minneapolis, MN. Winstead: "Have we really become a society where it's the comics and the satirists who are asking the questions that the corporate media isn't?" She also discusses her new project "Shoot the Messenger", a weekly satire of morning talk shows. (7:28)

You can see clips of Shoot the Messenger at http://www.shootthemessengernyc.com. (full disclosure, I'm in the show)

If you're a fan of Lizz, you'll love the show.

Thanks for posting, Elia!
