Keep talking about Darfur: it's keeping the issue alive

After a news conference to urge for additional U.S. Leadership on the Darfur crisis, I interviewed Larry Cox, Executive Director of Amnesty International USA. He says the progress made in Darfur has been because of average Americans speaking out. It’s keeping the issue alive, he says, and it is keeping the topic in the media. People can write letters, and make their voices be heard. The key to avoiding spin such as calling slaves “abductees,” is to continue bringing it up. (1:52)
