Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY), chairman of the Joint Economic Committee, exposes the problems of bad subprime mortgages and the issues they present for many people.

Referring to the mortgage brokers who have no reason to help their clients, Sen. Schumer calls the situation "the Wild West" and states the need for a "sheriff." He believes these brokers make large sums of money and then leave their clients to suffer. (00:24)
