This morning we will have a reporter at the Pentagon where Army Col. Wayne Grigsby, commander of the 3nd Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division will be speaking from Iraq to provide an update on ongoing
security operations in Iraq. Additionally, we will be covering a discussion by The New America Foundation on "Employer Health Costs in a Global Economy: A Competitive Disadvantage for U.S. Firms."

In the afternoon, former President of Indonesia His Excellency Kyai Haji Abdurrahman Wahid will be speaking at George Washington University in an interactive forum to discuss the rise of Islamic extremism on college campuses across the U.S.

Chief Pentagon Correspondent, Meredith Mackenzie, will cover a briefing from Camp Fallujah in Iraq at the Pentagon.

The Washington bureau will cover the “Discussion on the Housing and Lessons for Monetary Policy” at the Brookings Institution and “the Latest Consumer attitudes towards the gasoline prices” at the National Press Club. The organizers of the event, the Consumer Federation of America, will also release a new quarterly report on gasoline consumption, expenditures and oil imports.
The Bureau will also attend the briefing on the self-funded campaigns, organized by the Cato Institute.

Also this morning, our Washington Bureau will be covering a news conference at the National Press Club following the March 3 United Nations Security Council adoption of a third round of sanctions against Iran’s nuclear position and following the recent visit of Iranian President Ahmadinejad to Iraq. The Bureau is also covering the Senate joint Economic Committee hearing on the employment situation of February 2008 and the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee hearing on the involvement of the CEOs in the ongoing sub prime mortgage crisis.
