As the 10th anniversary of 9/11 approaches, more than 70 national civil rights, human rights, civil liberties, Muslim, Jewish, and South Asian groups have signed a joint statement reaffirming their commitment to the recognition of diversity and protecting Americans’ religious freedoms.

“9/11 may have shaken up the American people sense of  security but not its unity,” said  Deborah Lauter, the national civil rights director at the Anti-Defamation League said during a conference call with reporters.

In addition to signing the joint statement, the Anti-Defamation League has also released a report detailing how anti-Semitic conspiracy theories continue to be spread nearly a decade after the attacks.
