A report in Tuesday’s edition of the New York Post has reignited rumors that Vice President Joe Biden may not run in the 2012 election.

According to the Post, William Powers, the former Chairman of New York’s Republican Party, and former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown both predict that Obama will pick New York Governor Andrew Cuomo as his running mate.

Cuomo has grown in prominence among Democrats in recent weeks following the legalization of gay marriage in New York.

If Biden is dropped from the Presidential ticket, he is widely expected to succeed Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State.

According to a report from Fox News, the Obama campaign has officially denied the rumors.
