Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin will be traveling to Iowa in early September as rumors of a possible presidential run continue to hover.
Palin, the Republican Vice Presidential candidate in 2008, will be delivering a keynote address at a rally for the Tea Party of America.
“I’m very excited to join grassroots Iowans,” Palin said in a statement released by the organization. “We don’t need a ‘fundamental transformation’ of America. We need a restoration of all that is good and strong and free. The 2012 election will be a great debate between those two conflicting visions for our country.”
In a recent Gallup poll, Palin scored 12-15 percent of the GOP electorate depending on what other unannounced candidates end up running, putting her behind former Massachusetts Romney, who comes in with 17-23 percent.
