Gov. Chris Christie was driven to a hospital Thursday after having difficulty breathing, according to an AP report.

The fiscally conservative Governor from New Jersey, whose bluntness has drawn courtship by Republicans for President, has suffered from asthma for some time. Assessments from the hospital say the 48-year-old Governor will recover quickly. He is expected to leave the hospital Thursday evening.

At the moment, Christie is reported to be working out of the hosptial, “fine and in charge.”

Christie has cancelled his monthly “Ask The Governor” radio show, which was scheduled for Thursday night.
