Blagojevich Found Guilty On 17 Counts

Former Illinois Governor Rob Blagojevich (D) was found guilty Monday by a Chicago jury on 17 of 20 counts relating to charges of corruption. Most notably, the man generally known as “Blago” was convicted of attempting to sell or trade President Barack Obama’s former U.S. Senate seat.

Other charges against the one-time “Dancing With The Stars” participant included bribery, bribery conspiracy, extortion extortion conspiracy and wire fraud.  Many of the charges carry sentences of 10 years in prison.

Blagojevich already faces a five-year prison sentence for lying to the FBI, which he was convicted of when prosecutors tried him the first time around.
