ABC News reports this morning that the U.S. Department of Justice has decided to prosecute former Democratic presidential candidate John Edwards for a series of alleged campaign law violations.
The alleged offenses stem from Edwards’ extra-marital affair with a campaign aide named Rielle Hunter, whom the former North Carolina Senator fathered a child with.
