New Jersey Governor Chris Christie praised President Obama Monday for his role in the strike that killed terrorist mastermind Osama Bin Laden.
“I commend him and his administration,” Christie said during a press conference. “The President, as the Commander in Chief deserves extraordinary credit for what he was able to do here.”
The attack took place on Sunday and President Obama announced the terrorist leader’s death in a late-evening address.
Christie is one of several Republicans to praise the President. 2012 candidates Mitt Romney and Tim Pawlenty both issued statements congratulating Obama, as did former President George W. Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney.
