Rep. Dennis Kucinich (D-Ohio) could beat former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin in a hypothetical White House race, according to Public Policy Polling.
Kucinich, a strongly progressive Democrat known for his anti-war stances and advocacy for a slew of liberal issues, bests Palin 43-36 percent.
The poll also shows that the Ohio Democrat leads Donald Trump, the real estate mogul who announced earlier this week that he will not be running, by 40-36 percent
“As the Trump boomlet comes to an end there’s probably no better way to show how much his image crashed with the American public over the last month than the fact that he would lose a head to head with Dennis Kucinich,” Dean Debnam, the polling agency’s President, said in a statement.
The poll was conducted May 5-8th among 814 American voters. It was released on Tuesday.
