The U.S. will soon be allowed to question Osama bin Laden’s wives, according to a report from ABC News.

The three women are currently being held by the Pakistani government, following the raid last Sunday that left their husband dead.

Their role in the raid has shifted as the American version of the raid narrative has evolved. Initially, the U.S. said that bin Laden used one as a human shield, but then reported that she, instead, charged U.S. forces entering the terrorist leader’s room.

Following the raid on the compound, U.S. forces reportedly moved members of the bin Laden family to a safe location while they detonated a downed helicopter, but did not attempt to take them into U.S. custody.
