Senate Budget Chairman Kent Conrad (D-N.D.) reportedly presented his colleagues with a plan on Tuesday that aims to slice the deficit by $4 trillion over the next decade through an equal dose of spending cuts and tax increases.

Conrad reportedly pitched the plan to Senate Democrats. Most details have yet to be made official.
