A Wisconsin judge yet again ordered the state to put Gov. Walker’s union bargaining law on hold while she considers more extensive challenges to its legality.
Dane County Circuit Judge Maryann Sumi was forced to reestablish her order after a state agency unexpectedly published the law online, violating an earlier emergency injunction that prohibited the secretary of state from doing so.
“Apparently that language was either misunderstood or ignored, but what I said was the further implementation of [the law] was enjoined,” Sumi said during a hearing. “That is what I now want to make crystal clear.”
