Report: White House Working On Mubarak’s Exit Plan

According to a report Friday in the New York Times, the White House is developing a plan with Egyptian officials to remove embattled President Hosni Mubarak from office and put the country in the hands of a transitional government.

According to the Times, the transitional government will be headed by recently appointed Vice President Omar Suleiman and will immediately pursue highly sough democratic reforms, including opening up the country’s elections to include more opposition candidates.
