Report: Iranian Lawmakers Want To Execute Protest Leaders

After praising Egypt’s protests against Mubarak, Iranian lawmakers tightened their grip in order to prevent protests in Iran, CNN reports.

Iranian officials called for the execution of protest leaders, including former presidential candidates Mehdi Karrubi and Mir Hossein Moussavi. 

Demonstrators began gathering in Tehran, but were quickly dispersed Monday evening by the Iranian government.
