A new Rasmussen Report out today shows that only 22 percent of those who were polled support President Obama’s plan to provide $35 billion to help states avoid laying off teachers and first responders.
64 percent of those who took part in the survey said that states should simply cut back on other spending. 14 percent were undecided.
The plan, a component of Obama’s broader American Jobs Act, failed in a procedural vote in the Senate last month.
