General Motors Co. revealed Tuesday the answer to the biggest question surrounding its much hyped Chevy Volt; its price. The vehicle will cost $41,000. The Volt’s current closest rival, the electric Nissan Leaf, will start at a lower price of $33,000.
The Volt, which is scheduled to go on sale later this year, is now available for customers who live in California, New York, and Michigan to place orders. These are predetermined states by GM as their targeted launch markets. The Volt will go on sale to the rest of the country later in the year.
