DADT May Be Headed To Senate Floor Today

According to recent reports, Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) said he plans to bring the defense reauthorization bill, legislation that includes language effectively ending Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, to the Senate floor for a vote as early as today. 

A number of Senators including, Carl Levin (D-Mich.) and Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), have indicated that there is a good possibility the bill will receive the 60 votes it needs to escape a filibuster.
