On the heels of a recent unannounced trip to Afghanistan by President Barqack Obama, Defense Secretary Robert Gates made a surprise visit of his own to the war-stricken country today.
Gates last traveled to Afghanistan in September when he met with Afghan President Hamid Karzai and other political and military officials.
