Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-Nev.) scolded senate Republicans for suggesting that working up to and through the Christmas holiday would be disrespectful.
According to reports, a number of Republican senators have complained that the number of issues Reid plans to take up may require the Senate to stay in session longer than expected.
Reid originally planned for the Senate to adjourn on December 17, but with consideration of lingering issues like Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, the New START Treaty and the DREAM Act, Reid backtracked and has hinted towards the possibility of working through Christmas in order to get everything done.
