Rep. Adam Kinzinger (R-Ill.) and Tim Scott (R-S.C.), two recently elected tea party candidates, will be involved with House Republican’s transition to majority status, according to the AP.
The GOP Transition Committee, which is being chaired by Rep. Greg Walden (R-Ore.), will be a 22 member panel. According to Walden, the members were chosen to represent a diverse cross-section of the Republican party.
Other members of the Transition Committee include Rep. Paul Ryan (R-Wisc.), Rep. Pete Sessions (R-Texas) and freshman representatives Cory Gardner (R-Colo.) and Martha Roby (R-Ala.).
