FBI Head: Al Qaeda Could Launch Small-Scale Attacks

Al Qaeda could shift their focus to smaller, less detectable attacks, according to the head of the FBI.

“In addition to large scale attacks, Al-Qaeda and its affiliates may also attempt small attacks that require less planning and fewer operational steps which results in fewer opportunities to predict and prevent such attacks,” FBI Director Robert Mueller said Wednesday during a discussion on domestic intelligence hosted by the Bipartisan Policy Center.
