Perhaps the last influential piece of economic information before next week’s midterm election showed U.S. GDP modestly increasing at an annual rate of 2%.
After a 1.7% increase in the second quarter, third quarter figures reveal an increasing trend in the growth of the U.S. economy. In addition to the inching growth of the economy, the Department of Commerce also said that the amount of consumer spending is on the rise from 1.9% in the first quarter to 2.6%.
