Canadian Ambassador Gary Doer wrote a letter today to Sharron Angle, the Nevada Tea Partier currently in a tight race with Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, discrediting a statement where she said the 9/11 hijackers entered the US through its northern Canadian border.

“What we know is our northern border is where the terrorists came through,” Angle said on Friday. “That’s the most porous border we have.”

In the letter, Doer reassures Angle that none of the September 11 hijackers entered the country through Canada’s borders, citing several federal documents.

“I can assure you that Canada takes border security very seriously and trust you will see fit to set the record straight,” Doer said.
