The Senate race in West Virginia is neck and neck with less then three weeks to go before election day.  A poll put out CNN, Time and Opinion Research Corporation found that both Governor Joe Manchin (D) and John Raese (R) held a 44 point margin with Mountain Party candidate Jesse Johnson taking only five points.

The winner of this special election will fill the seat of the late Senator Robert Byrd (D) who passed away in late June of this year.
