As expected, Rahm Emanuel will announce his departure from the White House this morning but the contacts he made as Chief of Staff will not secede into the darkness. They’re actually published on the Internet thanks to the White House’s policy of disclosing their visitor logs. 

The prospective Chicago mayoral candidate was host to an assortment of key visitors that may give him an edge in his campaign. Some Chicago players include business leaders Sam Zell of The Tribune Company, John Rowe of Exelon and Leo Melamed of the Chicago Mercantile Exchange. We can’t forget the plethora of congressional staffers and alleged visit from none other than Rupert Murdoch.
