This Week’s Winner: Light Squared with four ads
Runnerup: AT&T and Corn Farmers Coalition with three ads each

This week’s (6/27-6/30) advertisements saw yet another high yield for the communications industry, with Light Squared, Sprint and AT&T all having multiple ads in Capitol Hill publications. These message from these ads has is paralleled to previous weeks: Light Squared calling for innovation, AT&T touting its recent merger with T-Mobile, and Sprint welcoming the challenge that said merger will bring.

Also scoring big this week were ads from environmental organizations. World Wildlife Fund and the Washington Humane Society each had a few ads.

“Ignoring global warming won’t make it go away,” warns a World Wildlife Fund ad.

The agriculture industry had an unusually high number of ads the past few days. Farmers Union, Corn Farmers Coalition and the National Pork Producers Council all had several ads. The Corn Farmers Coalition’s printed ads mirroring those displayed throughout the D.C. metro system, calling for an end to ethanol subsidies.
