According to Bloomberg News, BP managers may be charged with manslaughter charges for the role they played in the lead up to the Deepwater Horizon oil rig explosion that killed 11 workers last year.
Federal prosecutors, who are reportedly weighing the charges, may also reexamine the testimony from top BP executives who appeared before Congress to see if they spoke factually.
The oil rig explosion occurred on April 20th last year and resulted in a 3 month long spill, devastating local wildlife and businesses.
Last summer, BP agreed to pay at least $20 billion to help victims of the spill.
