Chinese President Hu Jintao Begins State Visit

Chinese President Hu Jintao will attend a series of meetings at the White House Wednesday as well as the first State dinner held for a Chinese leader in over a decade.

As the first full day of his State visit opens, Hu Jintao will be welcomed to the White House on the South Lawn by President Barack Obama, the First Lady and Dr. Jill Biden, the wife of Vice President Joe Biden.

The Chinese leader will then hold a bilateral meeting with President Obama and Vice President Biden and then another that will include the official U.S. and China delegations.

Later, the economic side of U.S.-Chinese relations will come to the forefront with a meeting between the Presidents and business leaders of the two countries.

In the evening, the Chinese President will attend a State dinner, where both Obama and Hu Jintao are expected to give toasts.
