Although California’s gubernatorial and Senatorial races have been called for the Democrats, the Republican candidates are refusing to concede.
Former California Governor Pete Wilson, who managed Republican gubernatorial candidate Meg Whitman’s campaign, told supporters in Los Angeles that Whitman was not prepared to back down, despite Democrat Jerry Brown’s seven point lead with forty percent of precincts now counted.
Despite Whitman’s reluctance, Brown has given his remarks for the evening.
“They haven’t gotten all of the votes in yet, but hell, it’s good enough for government work,” Brown quipped.
Similarly, Talking Points Memo is reporting that Carly Fiorina is not yet prepared to concede to Barba Boxer, who is ahead by 5 points.
