With the holiday season fast approaching, a new Washington Post-ABC News Poll revealed that nearly two-thirds of Americans are supportive of the job full body scanners are doing.
When asked if protecting the nation’s security takes precedence over protecting Americans’ privacy, 68 percent of those surveyed agreed that security is more important, even if it intrudes on personal privacy.
Additionally, 64 percent of Americans surveyed said they support the new full-body scanning machines, while 32 percent oppose them.
