Today at the Washington Bureau correspondents will be covering an event at the Newseum, where Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore will meet to discuss “National Clean Energy Project: Building the New Economy.” Correspondents will also be covering a joint initiative of AARP, the AARP Foundation, and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation to launch a new coalition that, for the first time, links national consumer, business and healthcare leaders to raise awareness of America’s nursing shortage and its implications for comprehensive health reform. Then at the Library of Congress, correspondents will be covering a lecture on “A New Administration Israel and the U.S.: A New Hope for Peace?” with Yoram Peri, head of the Chaim Herzog Institute for Media, Politics and Society at Tel Aviv University.
