This morning, the bureau will be covering a discussion at the Center for American Progress on “The Future of Global Warming Legislation,” where Edward Markey (D-Mass) will be in attendance. A reporter will also be attending a meeting with National Security Advisor Stephen Hadley where he will discuss nuclear proliferation challenges in the 21st century. Additionally, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce will be having a program on “Reassessing America’s Financial Regulatory System: Is it Time for Change?”

In the afternoon, the bureau will be covering a discussion titled “The Middle East Unravels: Lessons from Lebanon.” at the American Enterprise Institute for Public Policy Research in addition to a briefing on “The Housing Crisis: Causes and Cures” at the Cato Institute.
